I got into spring 2018, but not fall. (30 ACT, 3.6 uw gpa, 4 APs, OOS) What is freshman connection exactly? I just read up a little on it and am very confused. Do I get to stay in campus if i enroll in the program?
Accepted, honors!! ChemE. OOS ACT 35
@CyberAndroid - Yes, contact admissions on that. There was a section in the UMD application that required information to prove that you are a resident of Maryland You may have missed that and you would have been considered OOS
My S was rejected. We knew it was a reach but was hoping for a little miracle. Not this time
OOS UWGPA 3.49 (all honors, accelerated and AP) with an 1170 SAT - prob killed him. Great extra-curricular and community service/sports etc. Oh well… moving on.
Congratulations to all of you who were admitted and best of luck as you start your college years as a TERP!
my s doesn’t have any status info… anyone else?
Scholarship info will not come out until mid-to-late February
Mine still isn’t up… should I be worried?
Could it be because I’m on my phone?
Mine isn’t up, tried using 3 different browsers
@college11010 maybe try checking back a little later? there are a lot of people online right now and i wouldn’t be surprised if that’s why there are delays
@bry463 let’s hope your theory of it being busy is right… lots of stress waiting here
Accepted!!! And with Scholars.
ACT: 26 ( I know!!! Proof that its not all about grades)
GPA: 3.8W
My recommendations and resume were amazing and I think that’s what saved me. I think my essay was pretty strong too.
@mom3boyz hoping for the best, i didn’t see my decision right away either
@durna01 major is at the bottom of the letter
I heard that the decisions were going to come out in 2 waves.
Got in but for spring semester due to “limited space”
@adoxography 2 waves meaning times or days?
D got in for Spring; applied for Business school (Finance)
3.3 UW; 3.7 W, 1890 SAT, 28 ACT. Few Honors and 3 APs. OOS
Info for Spring Admits about Freshman Connection
What does getting in to the spring mean? If u applied to fall why would they admit u for spring. Does that mean u just waste a whole semester?
