I’m sorry @Mcris1027
@powerrangers20 I haven’t received my decision and it says my teacher reccomendations were not received even though my school sent them…?
Q: I applied but did not receive an admission decision. Why?
Review our application deadlines for more information on when application materials are due and when decisions will be released. If you believe that you submitted a completed application by the appropriate deadline but did not receive an admission decision by the listed date, please first confirm that all of your application materials were received by our office by logging in to your document tracking portal. Please note that the “completion date” will update in the application portal each time you log in. Please do not be concerned by this, as we consider the application complete by the date that all application materials were received.
After doing this, if you still believe that you are deserving of an admission decision, please email us with your full name, date of birth, and the county and state where you live. In the subject line of your email, please write “Admission Decision.” Once we receive your email, we will review your application and be in touch with you shortly.
@kraw44 thank you. I did see that but don’t want to be annoying because the official decision date says by Feb. 1. However, I have a few friends who received notification that they were declined today and my application was submitted after theirs but still before the Nov 1 deadline.
Accepted
ACT-27
GPA-3.8UW, 4.6W
9 AP Classes
Also got accepted into the Global Communities Program
I got in for comp sci.
I also had a quick question. How exactly do we know whether it’s a conditional or unconditional offer?
Does anyone know how competitive it is to be directly admitted to the Smith College of Business?
Smith is the most competitive LEP at UMD, for both direct admits and internal transfers.
Is there any chance i could be accepted to honors or college park scholars?
3.87uw, 4.2w, 30act
How selective is the FIRE program? Like how do they select applicants? And is it good for me since I got admitted for my CS major, but I intend on double majoring both in CS and Math @SoofDad @maryversity
@Wschoolmcounty I don’t get it either. Maybe a “blessing in disguise”? We are OOS and it was my son’s first choice but low SAT despite being a bright, great student. We will not appeal of course but you sometimes wonder what exactly makes admissions tick so to speak. Best of luck to your child!! I’m sure the school chosen will be the right fit!
@YoohooAddict - I don’t know anything about the FIRE program. Maybe @maryversity can answer this.
Is FIRE a type of honors program? Can I appeal if I wasn’t offered honors/scholars and if so, how? And can I reapply for honors maybe the following semester or something? Even again before the fall semester begins?
@liloandstitch12 That’s what I was wondering… Is it an honors program or something?
@SoofDad Alright, thanks!
Can you apply for honors in may after you give the enrollment deposit?
For those admitted to UMD, pm me your contact info if you want me to add you to a Groupme groupchat.
Any people here who still haven’t got their results? I haven’t and I’m really worried :-S
does anyone know if we receive an email too?
@artetc I haven’t either
