When do decisions come out?
My D has been accepted into UMD and is in a scholars program. When she went into the housing website, it would only allow her to select Spring of 2017. Also, I didn’t see where she would indicate a scholars LLC. I think she has created her account correctly. Any ideas?
I believe that admissions are rolling after the priority season, so they could come out at any moment.
@WindowMomto2 - Freshman do not select their dorms. Freshman dorms are assigned based on the Scholars program that students selected last month. I’m also assuming that your D submitted the housing and dining form.
@SoofDad - thank you for the info. Yes, she is trying to complete the housing and meal plan form. I thought there was an area where she would indicate that she was in a scholars program for housing. So maybe that doesn’t need to happen. It’s also giving her the choice of Spring 2017 or an earlier semester. I will call UMD today to get this squared away.
@WindowMomto2 - I forgot that UMD is on Spring break right now, so I dont know if the offices are open. The only real purpose of the housing/dining form is to pick a meal plan and let UMD know that your D wants to live on campus (rather than be a commuter). I’m puzzled by the Spring 2017 choice. It should be Fall 2017 I hope you get clarification soon.
It seems like nobody really knows when RD results will be announced and that it can show up any time now. Is this how it’s usually done at UMD?
I wouldn’t say that nobody knows when RD results will be announced. UMD says April 1.

did anyone get notification from umcp? if we didn’t get anything until now, do we just have to assume that we got reject? and is Rd way harder to get in than early action?
@godjae Of course you shouldn’t assume you were rejected, there is no reason at all to think that.
You have a slightly better chance at admission when applying priority to Maryland.
I was told they fill the majority of the freshman class from EA applicants.
As for the financial aid we receive, let’s say it says $x under the awards tab of the financial aid page. Does that mean we receive $x for the first year or $x per year for all four years?
Did merit scholarships already come out? The website said they’d be mailed beginning mid-March. It’s literally almost April. If you didn’t get anything, does that mean you didn’t get any merit aid? 
Did any RD applicants receive decisions?
I still have not received a decision for RD. There’s only two days left I was convinced it would be today, but ig not
STILL haven’t received a regular decision. Unbelievable.
March 30th, still nothing. Has anyone received anything? It doesn’t make sense to me that I still have not received any form of notificatio from Maryland since I applied in mid December…
