University of Michigan Ann Arbor acceptance or??

Hi Im really nervous about my early application to University of Michigan-Ann Arbor

I have a G.P.A of 3.8 and an act score of 30
I participate in many clubs:

FIRST robotics, captain
DECA, stare finalist
National Honor Society
Track
Cross Country
Volunteer Music Club
And more volunteering clubs
I'm part of an engineering program: I'm making a fully functional prosthetic for my capstone

I have taken

AP BC CALC junior year
AP US HISTORY
AP CHEM
AP PHYSICS C
AP LANGUAGE AND COMPOSITION
im going to take Calc 3 at michigan or WCC senior year

I work at University of Michigan Transportation Research Institution which is a hands on engineering work place s o I have some experience

I applied to the engineering department
Everything above I have mentioned in my common app

Through the ALUMNI interview I explained to the ALUMNI the reason for my GPA and ACT score---I had gone into depression my Junior year

What are my chances? I'm still a very motivated student now that I am doing better?(After recovering from my junior year).

Although your GPA and ACT are on the low side, your EC and in state status would help. Are you a senior? Not sure why you said “im going to take Calc 3 at michigan or WCC senior year”.

because I applied to the engineering department thats why I said that.

I am a senior

Does that fact that I have engineering experience and I work at UMTRI and one of my recommendations is from my boss

Math score on the ACT?

As an in state student, the odds are better. Assuming your ACT math was over 32, your chances are reasonable. Still in target, or perhaps even mild reach, but reasonable.

^ I agree. I know a girl from in state got in EA with 3.9/29 (Math ~34). But she is from one of the feeder school in town and has legacy. OP may be deferred initially but there is chance to get in.
