Chance me question for LSA OOS EA. If my dd has an unweighted 4.0, 6 APs plus 2 Dual Enrollments (APs can only begin junior year), including AP Lang, AP Stats, AP Macro, AP Calc, AP Government, AP Physics 1, College Composition (DE), does she have any chance test optional? She submitted EA test optional and her essays were excellent. Her ECs are great (2 varsity sports, lots of volunteering).
Of course she does. Many get in test optional. You can go back to her high school and see how many got in the last few years with her GPA and not sending in Act /Sats. This would be a more effective way to judge.
I concur. There’s just something about 100,000 frenzied people gathering that hits different than just about anything else.
Thank you. Many many kids get in from her HS (10 a year on average), and many have lower GPAs. But it seems that everyone who has been admitted (save one) has very high scores. But thank you for the words of encouragement.
They view you holistically. So highest GPA /Stats doesn’t win. Or get in
Lol. It’s the whole person and application. It’s their ecs, teacher recs etc and what they bring to the table to add to the community at Michigan so essays help set students apart if written well.
Good luck and Go Blue!
