CommonApp Essay: 9.5/10. I essentially wrote how I am a quantitative thinker in a variety of situations and compared myself to a superhero. It is hard to explain without disclosing too much personal information, but I really love this essay.

Other Factors: I am not too surprised by this decision because I heard that Michigan defers lots of overqualified applicants. I will send Michigan an email soon letting them know of my interest.
