University of Michigan Class of 2023 Early Action

Yeah, the old standard for Ross was you attend LSA or another accepting school, then your sophomore year at UMich you apply and attend Ross.

@Dapper9102 you can’t transfer directly after your freshman year. I believe it is after sophomore year. I also know a few people who are in an early admit program or something similar that helps their chances of getting into ross as a transfer student from LSA. While you can always get into ross through transfer, it is really difficult so I suggest possibly looking into this program I’ve heard of. I will try and pull up some more information on it!

So LSA friday then?

@Dapper9102 I believe it is called the Ross BBA program.

@SingingBusDriver

I think you might be confused on how Ross admissions work. Yes, it changed recently; it used to be that you would go to LSA for a year and then switch into Ross. Now you can apply directly from high school. But in order to apply directly from high school you still have to apply to one of the colleges early, for example CoE or LSA. Then when you get into one of those, Ross will see your Ross portfolio application. So in a sense you can’t apply directly to Ross; you have to go through one of the other schools. That’s why Ross decisions typically come out in Feburary; you have to get accepted to one of the schools first.

Am I the only one wondering why everyone trusts @SingingBusDriver 's credibility? I’m not saying that they aren’t who they say they are at all, I’m just genuinely curious about how they’ve proved they really do have inside information. Anyone care to enlighten me?

@FireHydrant123

Again, just telling people what I hear. I hear that there are movements at Ross for EA admissions. And that’s all I’m going to say.

What about CoE omg i’m dying lol

@singingbusdriver

And the majority of us appreciate it!

MODERATOR’S NOTE:

Yup. Posts that violate ToS get deleted. Since she ended her post with “I’m out,” there seemed no reason to further comment on why I deleted. Additionally, I deleted all replies to the post, since they make no sense out of context.

@DodosAreDead

I’m not going to prove my credibility.

You should always take what you hear with a grain of salt. There are many moving parts to the admission process. Things could get held up; dates could change.

You can just sit back and wait for emails to go out. It is promised before Christmas break and we’ll be here until 12/24. That’s the official message from the AO.

@SingingBusDriver “No good deed goes unpunished” – we thank you!

@SingingBusDriver when will Kinesiology be released?

CoE CoE CoE what’s up with that pleaseeee

SingingBusDriver comes on this thread, with nothing to gain personally, sharing some inside information that can help us all deal with the stress of waiting for a decision. Then when the information changes, not through any fault of hers, and she shares that new information so that we have the best and most recent info (and so that I don’t leave work early to be home with DS when he gets the answer), people attack her. Brilliant. smh. People are the best.

anyone know anything about nursing?

@SingingBusDriver

I’m not asking you to prove it. I haven’t seen most people on these boards to be blindly trusting, so I kinda assumed you had previously proven it in some way. And if not, fine. You’re not forcing anyone to believe you anyway.

Again, if I had to guess I’d say you aren’t faking it because the only reason someone would do that is for attention and clout and there are far better ways to do that online than by pretending to be a college insider on CC. But if no one knows for sure that you really are an admissions insider, why is everyone believing you? It seems like a legitimate question to me.

In any case, whoever you are, happy holidays.

@BigRoundDad (love the username btw)

If by any chance your latest post on this thread includes me in the people ‘attacking’ SBD, I’d just like to say, in my defense, I hadn’t even realized she’d said the results were postponed until I read your post. I have no intention to attack anyone, I just wanted to know if there was something I was missing.

can some1 tell me if CoE is coming today i’m dying

If there was something wrong, why postpone it to Friday rather than tomorrow? seems like they wouldn’t want to be sifting through a bunch of calls and messages on Christmas Eve with only a small number of staff? If the system ran last night, what could have happened that would have postponed it two days later?
