Re: the question about waves of acceptance notifications:
“Our 19 Schools and Colleges may be sending out decisions, as auditions and portfolio evaluations are completed, especially in our talent-based programs,” Erica Sanders, managing director of U-M’s office of undergraduate admissions, said in an email. “Additionally, transfer decisions are being released at this point in the cycle.”
She added: “The idea that ‘all’ decisions are released at one time is not accurate. Many decisions are sent out as the decisions are made, rather than in a batch on one day.”
Hi, everyone who got admitted after deferral, have you received anything in the mail? I thought I’m going to receive an envelope but haven’t so far. Thanks.
Shipman question for anyone familiar with the process (I’ve search this forum, couldn’t find a direct answer)
DS received the Shipman nomination email, with an invitation to interview for the scholarship. I’m assuming that means he’s a semi-finalist? Or does it mean he definitely will receive the Shipman, and has a chance to compete for the additional $5k.
@Camcar2213
You may want to tag the person to whom you are addressing your questions. Otherwise, it’s hard to tell. By tagging someone ( @ and their username) , they’ll get an alert.
@Micc I wouldn’t worry about not receiving anything yet, my experience with UofM acceptance letters is that they take a while, like multiple weeks, to arrive in the mail. If you live in the USA and you haven’t received anything and it has already been a month (like 3 weeks) since you received word you were admitted, then I would suggest calling the admissions office to ask. Hope that helps! And congratulations!
All my financial documents are in yet no financial aid info? I know at least I’ll get something from fafsa and hopefully a bit of need based aid yet nothing (OOS)
@MyGPAIsAnL I am also OOS and have not yet received any financial aid info either! I emailed them and asked if I needed to send any additional forms or anything else and they said they are still just reviewing my financial aid app.
