So I have these two essays that I need to write.. I'm at about half of the length that I need for both of these. Please help with advice and tips.

Prompt #1: Everyone belongs to many different communities and/or groups defined by (among other things) shared geography, religion, ethnicity, income, cuisine, interest, race, ideology, or intellectual heritage. Choose one of the communities to which you belong, and describe that community and your place within it. (Approximately 250 words)

My Hispanic ethnicity has always been a community that I feel I was born into and owe something to. I have been particularly familiar with the culture that my family brought from El Salvador when they immigrated to this country. A lot of my family values come from the way that Hispanic people are very family oriented, and in my family especially, religion plays a very important role. As a community, we share a culture of music, food, and language. This community also shares ideas of how society should be. My role in this community varies from the rest, because I am part of the first generation to be born in the United States and not have to immigrate here. I have the responsibility of helping the others understand American culture. I guess the proper term for what I am is a community transformer. I share what I learn and in the process correct a lot of the ill-informed who did not get an education.

Prompt #2: Describe the unique qualities that attract you to the specific undergraduate College or School (including preferred admission and dual degree programs) to which you are applying at the University of Michigan. How would that curriculum support your interests? (500 words maximum)

One morning I wake up and feel like the next CEO of a Fortune 500 company. I get up and go online to read about the business world. One week later I watch Good Will Hunting, read The Interpretation of Dreams by Sigmund Freud and decide I want to be a psychologist. Days later Im channel surfing and come across the story of World War II on the history channel. I watch the whole thing and am absolutely fascinated. I decide that Im going to be a history major. Next week itll probably be something else.
The College of Literature, Science and Arts immediately caught my attention as the right choice for me in the University of Michigan because the courses it offers matches with my personality. In high school Ive been the type of student who excels in all the different categories of study. I take AP classes in Math, Science, English, and Social Studies. This has left me undecided about what major I will take so it is perfect that the College of LSA offers courses in various different fields.
