***University of Michigan RD 2019 Official Thread***

Congrats to everyone who got in!!

I read through some of the the EA thread and I’m hearing that letters of interest are pretty beneficial. Should RD applicants send those in as well?

I applied in October in hopes of meeting the EA deadline, but my test scores did not arrive in time for the deadline so they moved me back to RD. Do you think my app would get a decision sooner?

No it wouldn’t

@hugzUC‌ hey! I had the same thing happen to me… I’ve been trying to figure this out as well.

Hey guys I have a quick question regarding financial, did any of you apply for it, and if so is it like other colleges that have their own section for financial aid, or do you only submit fafsa?

Do they send an email with your admissions decision? What does the Wolverine Access look like when it changes?

@jareva they require the CSS profile I think in addition to FAFSA

They sent an email after the portal update.

I hope that i will receive a decision this friday. I can’t take one more week anymore.

Did they release a batch of decisions last Friday? Interested in seeing if they will release a batch tomorrow.

They release some every Friday throughout the day via email.

@nosafetyschools‌ I don’t know if you have not been keeping up with the threads on here, but that is not the case.

@HeshSaint‌ They did release a batch last Friday.

It seems that i have to wait one more week. #dead. I think that i will turn my internet off for the next two weeks to not focus on it anymore, and maybe after that i will receive in my email a decision from every college wich i applied. #disappointed [-(

Hang in there buddy

Not there yet… The wait is on… Or rather the game is on :))

@Jareva You need to submit both CSS profile and FAFSA for financial aid.

is consideration for scholarships that use the separate scholarship profile on Wolverine Access already factored into the financial aid package i received yesterday? (which was nothing but a small loan)

@collegegal2019 The scholarship profile would help the FA office to identify your eligibility to different source of merit aid. Merit aids are very competitive and most of them (at least the big ones) have been announced. Nevertheless, they may have some left over grant money later. You may see your FA package got revised a couple times over the summer. It may get better later.

I know that there is very little reasoning behind this but I think the next wave of decisions is coming out on friday. It makes sense that they would release it this friday then the final wave on the 27. I’m basing this off of the fact that the last waves were released on 2/6 and 2/27. I know this is three weeks apart and the 13th is only two but I feel as if they need two more waves in order to inform everyone of their decision.

This week is going to end so aMAIZingly or not good at all. I am already stressing out about it.

@billcsho‌ thank you for your help.
I’m going out for an accepted students day later this week and my parents want to set up a meeting with someone in financial aid to talk about any possible options since i only got a couple thousand dollars in loans as my entire aid package on friday. They want to bring up the fact that i got offered $10k/yr from kelley at indiana. Is this a useless/bad idea or can the meeting actually work to my advantage?
