@klingon97 Sorry…Also someone on this thread I believe said they visited umich and they said decisions were going out until mid-April because they had so many applicants this year. I hope for all of you that you DO get your decisions by April 1st. (And that they bring good news )
@NICE8x No need to apologize. Michigan is a member of the College Board. They must announce all their decisions by 1st April, and candidates have until 1st May to decide. That’s what they say when you call them and is what they publish. Try calling them.
@Summer1998 The major difference it the different “feel” of the two universities. Ann Arbor is very artsy and eclectic. It feels very relaxed and busy. UNV is much more organised and planned, with neoclassical architecture. The entire feel of the university is different. People claim frats are bigger at UVA and that it is more “preppy”. Both are great universities.
At this ridiculous rate, I predict that decisions will be released either March 31st or April 1st. Until then, just relax (easier said than done…I get it). We are at the last stretch here guys and there is no point for them to release decisions within the next few days when they can just wait until the two major RD releasing dates
Anyone else’s portal down?
Mine is
Have any of the accepted students received a preadmit to Ross?
Monday-Friday, 6am-4am
Saturday, 6am-11pm
Sunday, 7:30am-Monday, 4am
Hours of operation of wolverine portal.
So it is natural the portal is down.
For the millionth time that I feel like that it’s been mentioned, wolverine access has hours of operation:
Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m.
Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Sunday, Noon to Midnight.
It will be back up at noon
It’s not even the end of the month. Patience. And most of the Ivies have still to release their decisions, so many will be waiting for those too.
@klingon97 Yeah, I guess only patience (and a crazy amount of hope) is what is keeping us going now. After all these rejections, Ivy day doesn’t seem too great to me. :)) :(( :(( So really hoping UMich accepts me, as it would still be okay (not my first choice, but getting rejected from UMich would be really shocking and a ridiculous proposition for me, although after all the rejections from my reaches and matches, I think UMich is no longer my safety, but yet another reach/match)
Are there any chances of getting accepted?
@firelord1 absolutely there is still a chance! It is understandable why so many are losing hope ( I am too) but the little waves of acceptances earlier this month were not as much as we think. The majority of decision will be posted within the next few weeks ( I am hoping by the end of this week).
Please, don’t assume you have been rejected until you have been rejected!!
Wait, does UM have rolling admissions?? I didn’t think it did but someone said here a few pages back that very few applicants now will receive acceptances compared to those who applied way before the deadline…
Yes they do rolling admission @mdorbust
So not everyone will find out at once? It’ll just be random?
@Lwheelz4 Yes, it will sort of be random. I was accepted March 4th and someone else at my school just got in this past week.
@NICE8x Well congrats on the acceptance! Knowing it’s random is almost a little more nerve-racking
I am from out of state, and I applied on the last day before the deadline. I have a 3.9 UW, 4.5 W GPA, I’m taking all AP courses this year and got 4 A’s and 1 B, 32 composite ACT, 2020 superscored SAT, 4/450 in my class. I’ve done two sports through high school, club sports, NHS, volunteer club, and some religious organizations. I still haven’t heard back from UM - should I be worried? I’ve been rejected from 5 other colleges, waitlisted at UCLA, and UM is my only hope left.
