This thread is for anyone who applied to Ross!
I cant believe we’re going to hear back in March/April, i was hoping for Christmas Eve so I wouldn’t need to apply to more schools (In case I get deferred/rejected). Is getting invited to apply to LSA honors college a pretty good sign you’ll get into Ross?
I wondered the same thing
@ScaredBoi LSA Honors emails everyone admitted into LSA about their Honors College. It doesn’t give any indications about Ross, unfortunately. Ross is only getting these applications after the break, as you must first be admitted into UMich before Ross looks at your application. So if they receive them by January, it’s custom for them to take 2-3 months to decide who to admit.
@ScaredBoi Keep in mind how the system used to be. I don’t know how many students I’ve met at freshman orientation that wanted to go Ross, when in fact only 1/3rd of them would end up making it in. This system is more direct in that if you don’t get in as a preferred admit, you aren’t allowed to apply to Ross again as a LSA freshman. In the long run, it’ll keep more people happy as people don’t come into UM with this grand dream of Ross, only to be denied and left with disappointment.
Everyone keeps talking about March/April to hear back from Ross, but the webpage for Campus Days says this:
"(The Ross School of Business Campus Day session is for students admitted to the Ross Preferred Admission program. Students will first register for a Campus Day date with the school or college they were admitted to. Once admitted to the Ross Preferred Admission program, they will then receive a confirmation email within a week from Ross Undergraduate Admissions with a link to register for a Ross Preferred Admit BBA Campus Day Session.)
Friday, February 10
Friday, February 17
Friday, March 10
Monday, March 20
Saturday, March 25
Friday, March 31"
Why would they not let anyone know until March/April if the Campus Days for Ross starts on Feb.10? And they have to wait a week until after they’ve signed up with the college they were admitted to before even being allowed to register for Ross’ Campus Days. If this is true, I believe Ross will start letting students know in January unless I am missing something important.

^no, anyone can go to their campus day, whether admitted yet or not.
I emailed umich and they told me March/April
I also read somewhere LSA honors only emails top 10% of LSA accepted students, but who knows
@petethegreek yeah I checked my email. Fewer than 1 in 10 entering umich students are invited to the hnrs college
LSA Honors and Ross admission are completely unrelated. There’s no foreshadowing of Ross admission. You just have to wait.
@brantly if you get pre-admitted to Ross but got accepted to LSA Honors, what happens?
@yewlongbow Even if preadmitted to Ross, you are still in LSA freshman year. Ross is only a three-year program. So you can be in LSA honors freshman year.
But if LSA Honors do not believe you will stay with an LSA major (could be a dual degree) they won’t prefer you for the Honors Program.
Does anyone have any idea when the first wave of decisions will be posted?
they posted february on social media and since the first ross admitted students day is feb 10 it will prob be early feb like feb 3
Did anyone receive a decision yet?
no but I’m dying lmaooo
@aphenoPHILIA ross undergrad admissions director just tweeted something indicating they will start coming out on friday!
