university of michigan ross school of business preferred admission notification

@bfb1234 Congrats on Ross! May I ask when you were accepted? I am still waiting to hear.

March 15th. I applied EA and was accepted into LSA

@bfb1234 I have an 800 on both math section in the SATs and the SAT II math, so your experience sounds promising to me i guess.

For those who were accepted to Ross - did your original LSA acceptance letter mentioned that you were being reviewed for Ross?

Anyone hear anything after mid March?

Accepted LSA in December. This email on January 16:

Congratulations on your admission to the University of Michigan! This is a great achievement and you should be very proud.

Ross admit on March 14.

^Great thanks Illini! Guess we’ll have to call to see if DS is in line for this one… :-S

How do you find out if you are admitted to Ross Pre-admit? through email? or wolverine access

@accepted2018 it is via email… I received the deferral but I’m pretty sure the acceptances came the same way

Emails. Then they sent her a big envelope with a little banner you can hang in the window. Anyway, there will be at least one spot open. She is declining tomorrow. We can’t afford Michigan.

@Illini528114 I’m sorry she cannot attend. =( I would love to steal her spot though. =)

Who has decided to attend? Have you signed up for an orientation yet? What dates?

In a similar situation after getting denied for pre-admit to Ross. Struggling to decide between Mich, Maryland BU and GW. Worried about going to Mich and not getting into Ross

@bs26nyc‌

If you look at the 2013 numbers, applying after freshmen year to Ross is much easier. The acceptance rate (from 18% for pre-admits) to around 40%. It’s up to you to see if the risk is worth it and how much you love each school.

Even if you aren’t admitted to Ross, Umich would open much more opportunities than GW, though GW is still a great school.

The question to ask oneself is pretty obvious: What doors do the Business schools at BU, GWU or Maryland, open that Michigan LSA does not? From what I have seen, not many at all. If one is considering a top business program, like Kelley or McDonough, or Marshall or Carroll, then I can understand the dilemma. But BU, GWU and Maryland are not quite at that level.

is anyone else waiting to hear back from Ross before committing to Michigan?

Wait, what if we never got that email?

I’m pretty sure I applied to Ross pre-admit, it says Undergraduate Business Admin for Fall 2016 above the Undergraduate L S & A Fall 2015 box on my Wolverine Access. I haven’t received anything from Michigan concerning Ross since I heard from my EA acceptance. Should I call them and ask what’s up with my Ross application?

My son (an EA LSA admit & Ross pre-admit) and I were just at Campus Day and went to the Ross presentation where we spoke briefly to a couple of people in Ross Admissions. We asked because we know some people still waiting to hear from Ross. Anyway, they said not having heard yet is probably a good thing, as they’ve only accepted a few and have denied about 1200. They said the rest of the decisions would go out in the next couple weeks (or they would go out IN two weeks - I can’t remember). Hope that helps.

@jazzshreddermon - thanks; that helps a lot! Is your son also one of those waiting?

No, my son was accepted as a pre-admit on March 13 (when apparently just a few went out).

Do you think they will release pre-admit decisions before may 1st? dying here! cant decide if georgetown mdonough or ross
