university of michigan ross school of business preferred admission notification

When we were there Friday (see above), it sure sounded like it would be before May 1. We got the idea they had waited to see all the LSA admits, which they now have, to decide.

Just got an email saying we would hear about Ross by the end of the month. I hope I make it.

I think more decisions will come out on Friday, seeing as they released decisions every two weeks based on earlier this year(3/13, 3/27) which gave decisions for the first 2 waves of acceptances into Michigan(EA and 2/4 wave). I would expect people to hear back from the 2/27 wave on Friday then and for the last wave to go out on 4/24, giving applicants 1 week at latest to make a decision to Michigan.

Just dug up some research from the Ross Undergraduate BBA applicants group and found out last year they did indeed release several hundred decisions on 4/11 and 4/25(2-week period again), and decisions were also released on 3/14 and 3/28. Seems safe to say that they follow this trend year to year, based off the dates from this year’s decision and that Friday is a safe bet to have more decisions released. Best of Luck everyone!!!

@carlsandburgsr would those decisions be sent via email after 5pm EST?

Decisions are released on WA, they will send you an email saying that your decision is available on WA around 5pm EST. @halswag15

OMG I got into Ross Preadmit  Super happy, didn’t expect this after I was deferred before admission

Rejected… Darn my 29 ACT, probably ruined my chances as everything else was competitive. :frowning:

What?!? Rejected with a 35 ACT and a 3.85 UW GPA.

Screw this. God.

Describe yourself. How do you think you got in?

I think they first sent acceptances out to people who hadn’t put in their enrollment deposit in

Congrats to everyone who got in! Still haven’t heard from them… and I think it might be time to commit to Georgetown.

karolinazab, not hearing is a good thing we were told. Before this last round, we were told directly by admissions reps they had already rejected about 1200. Now it’s probably more. I suspect the last decisions will come on Friday.

Well maybe - they do end up rejecting about 2600 - 3000.

I was accepted into EA LSA and have not heard back yet from Ross. Hopefully this means good news as well?! Not counting on preadmit acceptance too much but maybe it’s possible…

I heard back Friday and was accepted, much to my surprise. 28 act, and I enrolled in December. Good luck to everyone who hasn’t heard!

“I heard back Friday and was accepted, much to my surprise. 28 act, and I enrolled in December.”

That makes no sense. As a fair warning to others; be wary of newer posters who put forth information that seem a bit out of the ordinary.

“Enrolled in December”? Anyway, it may be not a good thing to be among top scorers in the same class. ACT 28 is around the bottom of the whole class of 2019.

How does that not make sense? I was accepted to the COE in December. I applied EA.

“How does that not make sense? I was accepted to the COE in December. I applied EA.”

It doesn’t make sense because not only is your ACT too low, but you can’t even keep your screen name current when you answer your own posts. You do realize using multiple screen names is a TOS violation don’t you fblastermaster/Riebely? My warning stands for other posters who read these threads. Beware of newer posters who make claims that don’t make any sense.
