University of Michigan Transfer to UCD

I am a freshman at University of Michigan and for various reasons I am looking to transfer to UC Davis my sophomore year. The UCD website says they have lower division (sophomore) transfers but only in the school of agriculture and environmental science. I called the admissions office and they said since all their priority for transfer students is given to junior level CC and UC students, there is no guarantee that they will have room for an out of state sophomore transfer from a 4 year University. My high school gpa was a 4.3 with an SAT score of 2000, so I have the numbers. My college GPA should be around a 3.5-3.9 also. Does anyone know my chances of transfer to UCD as a sophomore?

Anything will be appreciated. Thanks

i know someone who was out of state and had a 2.8 GPA after their first semester of college with a failed class and was accepted to UC davis as a sophomore level transfer. this was like five years ago though

I would definitely apply anyway, UC davis has a ridiculous transfer acceptance rate, like ~80%. with the UCs accepting a greater number of out of state students, i honestly couldn’t see you being rejected. good luck

did he go to a CC or a 4 year university
