<p>Is it true that someone can transfer here in the middle of their first semester of freshmen year of college? If not, what is the earliest date? Can freshmen transfer to the spring term?</p>

<li><p>It is theoretically possible, ie you can apply to get in winter term freshman year, but it is very rare (including for people who were admitted as freshman/would’ve been admitted). </p></li>
<li><p>I don’t believe residency matters much for transfer admission like it does for freshman admission.</p></li>

<p>does anyone know about what scholarships mich offers for transfers? My friend said that he got a 30k scholarship as a transfer, but when I looked online they only had scholarships for kids transferring from in state. He’s going into LSA and according to their website there are only three types of scholarships they offer and he doesn’t fit the criteria for any of them just because he’s an OOS applicant in this case. It didnt really say much about out of state. He’s transferring from Rutgers in New Jersey.</p>
