Hopeful Winter Transfer?!

I am attending MSU this fall, rightly so, due to a relatively low high school gpa. However, UMich is where I would ultimately like to end up for undergrad no matter what. I was thinking about transferring after the fall semester. Does anyone know how easy/hard it is to do so? And I was also wondering about the application process. Can you still get deferred when applying for winter term? What kinds of things do they look at?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Probably not going to happen, you need to wait at least three semesters before transferring if you weren’t going to get in as a freshman.

^not necessarily true. My friend went to MSU this year and will be transferring to UMich for Fall 2012.

But, definitely not after just one semester, and most likely after 3 semesters.

Good luck though!

Nearly impossible as they make decisions for Winter transfer admits in October/early-November, thus they would not get a single semester worth of college grades from you.
