@whenhen , what about emory made you transfer out of emory??

Oh and also, I am applying to emory college

<a href=“Fun at Emory - YouTube”>Fun at Emory - YouTube;

Classic.

It didn’t offer a geology major. I loved the school though and continue to be a strong proponent of it, both on this site and in real life.

@UCBChemEGrad looks like a great party to me. Glad you understand how hard Emory students rage.

Epicorangeninja, first visit the two campuses and pay attention to their overall environment. Then get acceptances for both. At that point, you should have a clear favorite. Both are awesome as far as I am concerned, although Michigan trumps Emory in Football…especially if they get a good coach! ;)

Okay, yea I’m visiting in mid january. I guess then, I 2ill decide to put emory off ed or let it stay there!!

You will be in Ann Arbor in the coldest, most miserable month- if you can stand it then you will be happy there! The campus is large and spread out and you do a lot of walking. Don’t know where you are from but bring your warmest outerwear and boots. Good luck!- an old alum.

Haha, yea I live in tennessee, so a bit different, but I grew up in boston. I love the cold and snow, so I am looking forward to it!

As someone from Atlanta, little of what you say in your OP screams “Emory”. I think you’re looking for a D1 school with great academics and a great reputation (which is likely why you applied ED to Vandy). You then diverted onto two separate paths. Michigan gives you the atmosphere you’re looking for. Emory gives you this perceived prestige you’re talking about Even so, Michigan is extremely prestigious in its own right, and I think that’s where you need to be. Atlanta is a great city though, and there definitely is a lot to do.

Yea, I’m trying to explain that to my family, but as we live in the south, no one really talks about michigan and more people talk about emory or vanderbilt
