University of Michigan vs Georgetown University

Specifically, for global health/medical research. In-state tuition at UMich, full tuition at Georgetown.

I would look at College.usnews.com to get rankings of these schools in global health/medical research. If your applying to private schools look at The Johns Hopkins University they much better than Georgetown in Medical research coming in at 3 while Georgetown is not even in the top 10. Also Michigan in Medical research is ranked at 11th. You should use this website because most universities that want to show how great they use this since this is the US world Report news. Also Michigan is better than Georgetown in public health management they are ranked at 1st place and they are great at medical primary care ranked at 4th place. Plus for Georgetown if u apply under nursing you will easily get in. Trust me I know people who have done this and they had horrible academics. Georgetown is not a good school please I know people who were accepted to Georgetown for low SAT and Grades and were rejected from all the public universities. Also one advantage is that when you go to public universities they have multiple rankings in multiple programs while private universities are not. University of Michigan Ann Arbor is known to have multiple rankings in multiple programs while Georgetown is known for like International Relations, Politics not really in Math and Science.

In state tuition makes this a no-brainer…Michigan.

What are your total costs/year for each school?

This post is almost two years old. The OP must be a Sophomore in college by now. But where did he go to college?
