University of Michigan vs UT Austin Liberal Arts Honors

Hi, I am deciding between UMich and UT Austin. I’m from NY and plan on majoring in Political Science. I got into the liberal arts honors at University of Texas, but I am stuck between the two. Any suggestions?

I recommend Michigan. Closer to home and a top poly sci department.

Hey, I’m majoring in Poly Sci and I am accepted into the Liberal Arts Honors program at UT (class of 2020). I did a specialized tour of LAH and it seems like an amazing program! The college students I talked to absolutely love it. The sense of community in LAH is very high and they all seem like one giant family. There are so many opportunities given to you by being in LAH and you get to take really interactive, specialized classes that seem like a lot of fun. The program also helps you get all kinds of internships and study abroad opportunities. And being a government major at UT has so many benefits, seeing as the Capitol Building is within walking distance. I strongly recommend UT over Michigan. I understand that Austin is far from NY, but college is about meeting new people and trying new things! If you have any more questions or want to talk, let me know! It would be nice to know someone going into the program with the same major as me! (:

" I strongly recommend UT over Michigan."

That seems a bit of an overstatement. I know you love Texas smayb27, but we’re talking about Michigan here. This isn’t some run of the mill state school.
