Man I really hope I can finally get lucky for once
May 8th is deadline for admitted student to commit yes or no.
It seems as though there might be another wave off of the WL before the 8th driven by EA and RA admits who do not send in their deposit by the end of the day tomorrow and then a third wave after the 8th when those who were offered last week off of the WL do not submit. Thoughts anyone?
@2017and2020dad where is this coming from?
@UCLAParent123 he is speculating but it makes the most sense- at least hopefully lol
IDK I think it should be on a Thursday since they always release stuff on Thursdays, at least for me. Like my ea decision, waitlist decision, and other people got off the waitlist on a Thursday
the EA decision was on December 18, was that not a Wednesday? do EA students have higher chance of getting off waitlist?
@chicagokid756 I would think if you’re OOS, you have a higher chance than previous years if you can pay full tuition and are qualified.
Ik three girls from my school who got taken off the waitlist. I doubt they gonna accept more from my school.
@schmendy27 does EA matter or do all OOS applicants get put into one pool?
@chicagokid756 not sure but I would assume we all get put in 1 pool
@UCLAParent123 -To be clear, that is speculation, based on loose logic. They are already out of character from what I can tell by pulling people off the WL before 1 MAY. So your guess is as good as mine.
@2017and2020dad praying one comes today or something
That is what I am thinking
It’s not coming today for sure. Way too late for them to be releasing anything. Crossing my fingers for tomorrow though.
ucla this year had a wave a couple days ago. last year they released 4/23 and 4/30. i thought Michigan would do something similar bc they already started to take people off
@chicagokid756 I think we might have to wait another few days before we start seeing movement off the waitlist
I wouldn’t think so early- I think May 7th/8th would be the first date they give anything out and then May 21st as the next- and depending on that maybe a smaller one later in June- I could be wrong but who knows lol
yeah you are probably right. good luck to all. hopefully in the next week. prayers up.
Hi-- I know admissions says “do not send any additional materials”. I think many of us sent a LOCI anyways. But I also have two additional strong letters of recommendation I could have sent… would that be a bad idea? Or are they looking for waitlist applicants to be persistent?
