If your talking about my comment, I didn’t. I said they would want to be done by Friday May 1st. That is the decision day nationally. I would expect some activity these next few days. After May 1st they will have a clearer picture and will see how many they will offer off the wait list. You won’t know that number till the fall most likely.
@schmendy27 my daughter is OOS! So excited and surprised she found out so early. Go Blue!!!
My kiddo got in during EA but just declined her LSA spot today. Just too expensive for OOS. Hope that helps someone here.
@bmcalumna I hope it does, God bless. I hope she has an excellent time in college over the next 4 years.
If Michigan state is saying instate is up 14% enrolled then expect Michigan to have a jump instate. Yields will be higher in State this year
A friend of my daughter got off the waitlist yesterday - OOS
It will be interesting to see how many will actually take the wait list this year from OOS… Many state kids are state kids are staying local.
@Valka07 do you know if she was LSA?
Well it’s over for me as an OOS for LSA, which I am kinda glad since I can finally move on and I have taken way too many Ls that this doesn’t affect me anymore. Good luck to everyone else and big congrats to those who got off already!
@FallAutumnLeaf did you get rejected?
I mean i know i am not getting off so yeh, pretty much
@FallAutumnLeaf you don’t know that. The rumor is that they’re taking more OOS students off waitlist than before because they pay a higher tuition- I’m in the same boat as you. Keep praying lol.
do u guys think we will get another wave for OOS LSA before May 1? or should I give up
@chicagokid756 after may 1st is my prediction… probably the 8th but i’m not sure- I think they have to see how many actually enroll in the school and they’re going to give out spots based on that
@schmendy27 may 8th seems the most reasonable. that’s the deadline for the last wave of admits.
@schmendy27 Regardless Michigan still has to keep the same percentage as always of in state/out of state students. Because of Covid more kids are staying in state, so Michigan’s yield is likely higher than usual there. So it makes perfect sense that the in-state wait list is not moving.
@2022soon so what does that mean for OOS waitlist? better or worse chances?
@2022soon Ik but it ends up benefiting OOS slightly compared to previous years. I could be wrong but that’s just what I’m picking up from the articles/news from my CC.
@chicagokid756 wdym that’s the deadline for the last wave of admits?
People got off the waitlist from last wave need to pay the deposit by May 8th
