that is weird
they should have more than enough people in the waitlist

State schools that rely heavily on OOS and International will have a major issue filling up their class this year. Michigan is also trying to have a larger class of 7,200 so double hit plus I bet they will go online in the fall as Michigan State has started moving classes online (son goes there)
YEA EXACTLY
Hopefully they took everyone who were waitlisted for Coe lmao
I’m not sure about the “moving classes online.”
D18 is playing with Fall schedule and there’s a lot of classes where there are open seats, but the class has a waitlist. For example, one upper division STEM class has 104 open seats, but a waitlist of 9. It’s an Intro type course.
Not sure what that means, but I’d speculate that UMich is planning for in-person classes or at least for upper division classes.
I believe the COE waitlist will clear. Good luck to all!!!
OMG they can do that? Why are they not calling my son? OOS
OOS COE no aid here loll
Saw somebody post on instagram for his friend getting admitted- no clue on what school the kid applied to, but I think they will start admitting from here on out from their waitlist- also, don’t think it’s going to be a wave like we all thought
@Maduka you got in?
so they started to waitlist people that were rejected? why doesn’t michigan just pull from here instead of making the waitlist even larger?
nope
big sad
exactly what i’m thinking
why would they start moving rejected kids to waitlist when the size of their waitlist is already insanely huge
i don’t think the guy actually got into the waitlist after getting rejected
Anyone hear on the Ross waitlist today?
Michigan State’s social distancing guidelines for the academic year imply that classrooms can be, on average, about 30% full.
MSU’s interim provost announced today that these guidelines, applied to the fixed number of physical classrooms on campus, imply that about 50% of undergrad classes will have to be online, and another 25% will be a hybrid online/in person delivery. There just isn’t sufficient slack in physical facilities to abide by social distancing guidelines and offer most classes in person, even If facilities are also used on weekends and evenings.
But, the quality of these online classes should be better than this Spring. Online classes are much more time-consuming for faculty to prep. This Fall, faculty will have experience with the technology and time to do advance prep that was impossible during this Spring’s unexpected pivot to an online environment.
Both MSU and UM are led by presidents with backgrounds in immunology. So, my guess is that MSU’s announcement is a decent predictor of what things will look like this Fall at UM (and other large universities across the country) that have students back on campus.
Of course, all of this is contingent on permissible state regulations!
Still any hope for LSA?
I don’t see why there’s no hope for LSA
Any inside news about the COE? I am dying to know the result.
i mean that’s what even i thought, but the guy on reddit specifically mentioned that he got rejected first. He could be some scammer tho who knows
do you have the link of the post?
