University of Michigan Waitlist 2024

Yes still have the codes. My son applied to engineering school. You are right the codes could have been there before. I however noticed the codes for the first time yesterday as never checked page source before.

i think @HazA14 is right, probably prepping for the incoming class. All of us wouldn’t have it if it was really an indicator of getting in

You are probably right. I am so sad. My son does not want to got to any other school.

@HazA14 I don’t know if it would be helpful to call. Sometimes these are workstudy students answering from a remote location. They probably can’t say much or don’t know much. I do think people are getting in though. And if we haven’t heard, it’s because they’re waiting to see who isn’t coming. Recent admits were in state recently. Probably trying to balance class

I agree. We’ll most likely hear back one way or another next week.

Please accept me UMich!!! ??

@akk98life Don’t despair. The incoming class is not where the main disruption in the system is happening imho. They are also getting decisions ready to send out. Not sure how it will go but they are working on it. GL!

I think you will get into both GT and UMich. Tough decision to make for you next week. They will be out on August 1st . Good Luck!

I also have the payment string in my code- if I had to take a guess, I would assume it does mean anything since more people have it than do not. However, keep looking for small wording in the code as this was an indicator in accepted applicants for mich in the beginning of the year as well as other schools. (NYU, UT- Austin, Hopkins). look on portal and on x checklist page

@schmendy27 what is the x checklist page?

https://enrollmentconnect.umich.edu/apply/status?cmd=payments

That is the link to the X checklist page- as of now, if you click it, it should be a white blank page. However, back in December the link provided each applicant with an X if they got in or not- Obviously, you will not be able to see that now because Michigan closed access to that, but we can still view-source: the url and since that works, I think that website’s code would be a giveaway rather than the actual portal’s code.

I know students did this back in March too for regular decision and there were a few strings of code that were a giveaway to whether a student was admitted or not. Some examples could be the word payment, $, deposit, etc. If you find something that you may think be a “giveaway”, let us know here and we can compare it with everybody else’s code. If a lot of applicants have the same string of code, it most likely is not an indicator, but if only a few applicant only have a certain string of code, then that could be an indicator. Anyways, it’s worth a try.

^also keep checking the portal’s code too lol that could still be an indicator if anybody finds any code that varies from other applicants

I have checked the posts from December. What I understood was that all the applicants who had the code with the word final transcript with a red X mark before it got accepted. The example of the code is below.

/<![CDATA[/$(document).ready(function(){ $("#finaltranscriptbutton").click(function

In the above code there is $ before final-transcript, however in Dec the ED admitted student had X mark in red color before the final transcript. Their were some students with the code stating final transcript with no X they all got deferred. All the applicants who had no code stating final transcript were rejected. This is from the CC group. That is when the page was referred to as X checklist page. The conclusion was applicants who were admitted ED did not need final transcript to get decision while other needed 1st semester grades for admission decision.

In March the applicants who got accepted had the code containing final transcript, admit apply button and payment button. The wait listed applicants only had the final transcript and admit apply button. The rejected applicants had non of these code.

I got all this information from reading old CC posts.

Hope this clarifies the code and checklist mystery. I was not on CC in December and March so do not have any personal knowledge of this.

console.log(‘hi mom!’);
I just saw this in my x-checklist source code (line 3) and I wonder why lolll.
Everyday when I check cc website and seeing all the supports in this thread warms me up, knowing that I am not alone in this painful (annoying) process during this pandemic.
Thanks to those who shared the news and updated on all of us. Good luck to all of us at the end of this long run application process, and also good luck to the first year in College this fall!

Hahah I have all but no admit apply, instead I have admit reply

@Tomoyoshk thanks! youre a breath of fresh air and positivity on this thread

hm does it mean anything if i see payment button in my app’s source code?

The December code was

Status Details Date
:heavy_check_mark:Received Counselor Recommendation 10/08/2019
:heavy_multiplication_x:Awaiting Final High School Transcript
:heavy_check_mark:Received High School Transcript 10/08/2019
:heavy_check_mark:Received Teacher Recommendation 10/08/2019
:heavy_check_mark:Received Test Score: ACT or SAT 09/13/2019
:heavy_check_mark:Received Application 10/08/2019

and in March it showed final transcript, admit reply ( not apply I made a mistake) and Payment button.

e.g from March

mine shows the admitreply button and the final transcript thing…does everyone have this

@tenseMom Thank you for the optimism and hope! You are awesome and I hope your son gets everything he hopes for. I decided not to check any of this because it may lead me down the wrong path. It’s a roller coaster, when you really really want something. Our fate is out of our hands at this point. GL!

Hi everyone. I’ve been lurking on this thread for a while, and since everyone is talking about this code about a payment button I should mention I don’t have it (assuming this is the right link: view-source:https://enrollmentconnect.umich.edu/apply/status?cmd=payments) if that makes anyone more hopeful. Have a good evening everyone.
