<p>bclintok, The observations I referenced were from a person who has recently been a professor at both universities. I’m guessing he knows a little bit more about the situation than you do.</p>
<p>I’m from Michigan, and have had a LOT of relatives go to UofM for all sorts of degrees…in fact, one uncle is perhaps the most accomplished scholar UofM has ever produced. So I have no reason to badmouth UofM. It is enlightening to see how the “Michigan Mafia” here descends on anybody who dares to question UofM’s preeminence. You guys are not doing your alma mater any favors.</p>
