University of Minnesota : Application Status ?

<p>Hello,</p>

<p>First of all I know that it's not the correct place to post, but I have tried PMing few of the UMN guys, but to no avail...Anyways !</p>

<p>In the UMN Application Status, My statuses were like :- (Spring 2011)</p>

<p>"Your Application is Incomplete" (Day I submitted my Online App)</p>

<p>"Your Application is Complete" (3 Days after I submitted my Documents)</p>

<p>"Your Application is currently being reviewed" (The very next day)</p>

<p>"Your application is being very carefully considered" (Currently) (1 Day after)</p>

<p>I'm really confused, what does this means ?
Is it good news or bad news ?</p>

<p>Yes I did, but didnt received any replies !</p>

<p>I am 99.9% sure that it doesn’t indicate positive or negative news.</p>

<p>It might mean that your application has gone from a reading stage to a committee that decides whether or not to accept you, but more likely some tech guy with a sense of humor had too much time on his hands and decided to change the “please wait while we are reading your application” message every day.</p>

<p>Don’t know, but isn’t that weird cause…it takes about 10 mins to take a decision based on the documents provided…but shiit its taking a lot longer !!
Any1 got UMN exp ?</p>

<p>For U of M, did you already send your official transcripts?</p>

<p>Omg… If I hadn’t send all my documents (results,financial statements,etc) then how come they showed Application is Complete ?</p>

At some selective colleges admission decisions are done in two stages. First, someone reads your file. Then that person presents your case to a committee, which decides whether or not to accept you. Your file might be in the committee pile for a few days before it’s actually presented.</p>
