@rstdane1 Yes the response was positive, i got in the CLA !
@Disha. Bingo!
I was deferred as well, and still no response.
I was deferred on the 27th of January as an EA applicant. Stats: 32 ACT 3.9 Weighted GPA, solid recs and extracurricular with AP courses and an internship. Does the fact that the March 31st deadline is approaching mean I’m going to get denied?
@ablemanie. No one knows what is going on but the good news is that they have to give you an answer by Saturday. Which college did you apply to?
College of managment
My daughter was just accepted into Liberal Arts and Sciences (applied into engineering). She was invited to apply, fee waived to apply, she applied early action, she was deferred, and then she was wait listed. She has now been admitted. We checked the dashboard today and saw it and got a big package in the mail.
However, she has already accepted University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana so we will not be accepting this offer.
@enginmom4. Did she ever receive an e-mail asking her whether or not she wanted to stay on the waitlist? Regardles, sounds like your daughter’s application journey is over. Congratulations and good luck.
@rstdane1 she did not receive any email. I logged in daily to that dashboard and one day I noticed she was deferred (in January) and another day I noticed she was on waitlist (March) and then today (4/14/18) I noticed she was accepted. The reason why I logged in today (I had stopped logging in once we decided on UIUC) is because my UPS Informed Delivery emailed showed mail from U of M coming today and I was intrigued – so I logged in. We never got an email notifying us of any change in January, March or today. We did get a packet from admissions today and a letter from financial aid today – and then she got an email today encouraging her to commit. But never an “admission” “wait list” or “deferral” email. So odd.
Thanks @enginmom4. It seems many were waitlisted the last couple weeks in March and then e-mailed April 15 to query if they wanted to remain on the waitlist through June 15.
Oh interesting. We emailed U of M already to tell them we are not interested. I know 1 declination doesn’t open up a spot for another students but hopefully more kids get in.
Are you waiting for a U of M response?
He is still on the list but has accepted at UK-Lexington. Would be hard to turn back at this point but formally possible I guess.
Congrats on knowing where he will be going!!
