University of North Texas or University of Alabama?

Im planning on transfering to either on of these schools and I wanted to know which school has the best Geography program and if they were both well respected schools in that area, im more familiar with UA than UNT. I am more than likely going to go into the Planning (urban/regional, environmental) areas in graduate school but for now im doing my undergrad, which one would be better?

I don’t know anything about that major, but I can’t see any reason to choose UNT over Bama unless you are a music major. Go for Alabama.

I agree with MomofWildChild. I’d definitely pick Bama. UNT is a huge commuter school and imo, not a particularly fun place to live, whereas Bama will give you more of a “college experience.” Plus, it seems like all the kids I know that ended up at Bama really like it, whereas those that end up at UNT aren’t so enthusiastically opinionated about their school and several even mentioned that they dislike the school.

I don’t know much about the Geography program at Bama, but at Bama’s awards day, the students who won the Geography awards seemed to have been doing some very interesting things.

Have you visited Bama? It’s a beautiful campus.
