Question - are all those waitlisted accepted to the Gateway program?
@boysmomma No, invitations to the Gateway program would have been explicitly offered.
@boysmomma The answer is no.
Ok, my son closed the letter so quickly but it definitely saw the Gateway Holy across program mentioned. Perhaps i need to get him to open that letter again and have him explore the opportunity

Accepted! Deferred with a 33 ACT. Retook it and got a 34 and sent that in as well as my 1490. Wrote a 6-page optional letter of interest and got a Rec from a professor there. 4.4 gpa, some sports (equestrian), a TON of service including a 15-hour-per-week internship at my church. I did summer scholars too and I think that helped! Actively pursuing them after being deferred is HUGE-hope that helps! Go Irish!!!

DD was accepted. 1580 SAT, 3.99 UW, 1/150 class rank, 4 years varsity softball. She has a couple she is waiting to hear from on the 28th, but is very pleased with this acceptance. Her mom and I both graduated from ND so we are hopeful, but she has some good schools to choose from so it is not a given that she will choose ND.
S: Waitlisted: International, 1530 SAT (790 Math), 34 ACT (35 in STEM) Many AP courses with 5s on the exams but with lowish 3.7 UW GPA and good EC activities. Undecided to accept a spot on the list. I think he wants to get the decision process behind him.Likely, will decide among Emory, Cal-Berkeley, UVA, Villanova, and Tufts.
Congrats to all who received great news today! You’ve earned it.
Legacy son rejected after hoping to go to ND for years. So sad for him. Getting in to UChicago helps soften the blow, but it still hurts.
Rejected!
How do you know/check if you received any financial aid?
Accepted. God is so, so good.
My heart goes out to all applicants. You will go forth and forge your path wherever you are called to be. Congratulations to those who will also be doing so at Notre Dame.
@jtmartz I’m pretty sure we should be receiving an email in the next few days with an award amount, and then they will mail us our official aid a little later.
