University of Oregon

I've already applied there, but I'd love to get any info on the school, especially looking for some info from people who have been to the campus or go to the school.

I appreciate it.

Eugene is a great college town...there are lots of things to do, especially if you like the outdoors. The UO campus is compact but good looking and the sports are great.

The campus and town are pretty liberal with a good number of granola types. The area is diverse, and the cost of living quite reasonable.

Eugene is a very VERY liberal town. It's a bit.....dirty, though those who like it would probably describe it as "natural". It's rainy almost all the time, never very warm. Great school for students who are into politics. Lots of vegans and liberal-minded individuals. Google Eugene, OR and you should see some good pictures.

How is Eugene "dirty"? Just curious...

I'm more moderate, so would I not be accepted for having some differing views? I don't mind the rain at all. I love the outdoors (running, hiking, snowboarding) and I love how green Oregon is (I've been to Portland once). I want to go to a school that has competitive division I sports teams. How are Oregon's Econ and Business departments?

Thanks for the input so far.

Their econ and business programs are good, especially if you think you're going to settle on the West Coast.

bump. Thanks to those who have responded so far.

Anyone else? :)

I go there, the weather doesnt bother me neither do the politics that everyone has, I myself am pretty moderate. A lot of fun can be had at the UofO

Thanks, I'm going to visit in a month. I'm pretty excited.

up..........
