University of Pennsylvania Class of 2013 Official RD Thread!

Im Indian  (CAS though) are you guys (or anyone) going to Multicultural Scholars Preview days? April 19-21

113 post

You elitist snob! You are one of the self-absorbed narcissists I warn my junior daughter to watch out AND STAY AWAY FROM when she matriculates at a top university next year! Attendance at an ELITE institution is fine! Acting ELITIST is tragically comical!
Jeers to you buddy or whatever! I’m sure your parents just hope you get over yourself before you deign to ridicule others for their stats!

Being in Wharton is great and all honeybunny, but with that attitude you are going no where. Because at the end of the day, UPenn and all its schools are just that: schools. It is the attitude you approach above-mentioned resources with is what will ensure your success in the future. I truly hope you understand at least that before the start of your next school year in september at where you choose to attend. A 2200 on the SATs or an A in a class is mere statistics. Trust me when I say this that in today’s job market, statistics are only accounted for 10% of the employer’s decision. Several interviews now, especially those in the administration (business or engineering) field are week-long projects on which a team of prospective employees are assigned to compete for the job. Your ability to work with others plays a huge role on your contribution to the project on which you are most heavily critiqued and analyzed upon for the job. Best of luck!

P.S. Currently it seems that you degrade others to amuse yourself. CC is a constructive forum and your insults are not appreciated by anyone here.

Haha. Ironic how after my post there is an post by a student who got accepted to Wharton with a 2350 in their SATs; which is very impressive by the way.

“Trust me when I say this that in today’s job market, statistics are only accounted for 10% of the employer’s decision.”

 • haha yeah? so I guess the name WHARTON means nothing then right? Since technically based on what you said, jobs don’t care about the name only only on how HARD working you are? Hey, OPEN YOUR EYES, we’re not interested in what is the RIGHT, MORAL way. In this world, reputation meanings almost everything; simply a Business undergraduate from Ohio State is NOTHING compared to Wharton period.

Sorry if you don’t like my attitude but this attitude got me a 2260 , 4.0 UW and accepted into Wharton, Stern, UC berkeley, U Chicago and Cornell. Welcome to the Business World. I just open my eyes up to reality and I’m not sure what most of you young people are thinking but companies don’t really care how “loving and caring” you are. they care whether you can get the job done efficiently or not. Perhaps the “loving and caring” attitude is necessary for being a store clerk? If that is your ambition then feel free.

you sir need to open your eyes. you are living in your own little fantasy. are you going to end up in one of those companies caught up in fraud, swindling the people for their money, or back-stabbing fellow employees and companies?

are you human? do you have any feelings for humanity? are you lonely? can you find no loving connection with your fellow humans so that you must hide your feeling by acting pompous and ignorant?

it’s sad how this country worships capitalism like it’s an actual religion. take a look at your life and look at what you’re living for
the money, the job, the prestige, the recognition
sounds like a waste of a life to me. you may be rich in terms of money, but that does not even measure up to being rich in character. there is no argument there. because if you are rich in character i guarantee you will accomplish more in life than you ever could being an elitist capitalist with no care for anything or anyone except money and oneself.

good luck at Penn next year. i wish you the best of luck in life.

haha before i got accepted to m&T this past tuesday, i was positive i was going to be rejected and was planning on attending none other than the Ohio State University. The school you demeaned and said it was nothing compared to Wharton. I have friends much more brilliant than me going there and I am sure they will get plenty nice jobs. You really need to get over yourself. You got in, that’s great. All that means is you impressed a group of five Deans that will never pass judgement on you again. I would much rather be respected by everyone as a person, than impress five people once in my entire life.

yeah and honeybunny your grammer is horrible

“you young people”? Haha, what are you, 50? Like everyone else is saying, get over yourself.

and Nyorker cannot spell GRAMMAR either!!!

Hey NJBkitty, I remember you from the Yale forum, did you get in?

anyway,

[size=+2]Decision: Accepted/size

and I am invited to do the Vagelos Scholars Program in Molecular Life Sciences. Just curious if anyone else was invited and is interested.

I couldn’t help but thinking, while reading honeybunny’s post, “How ironic is it that you do not even know rudimentary grammatical rules (i.e. capitalization, how/where to place semicolons/commas)?” HAHA. Scrutinize yourself before degrading others; otherwise, it makes you look like a charlatan.

hahahahahahahah Oh wow i feel so stupid

employers actually do care about how “caring” you are to an extent
getting along with your co-workers is one of the most important things. if you’re not likeable in the business world then you will get nowhere because nobody is going to want to see you succeed, including your superiors. in one regard i will agree with hunnybunny though: ohio state is nothing compared to wharton :-P

anyways, hunnybunny, get a life. “that kind of attitude got me a 2260”
are you serious? wow

“Sorry if you don’t like my attitude but this attitude got me a 2260 , 4.0 UW and accepted into Wharton, Stern, UC berkeley, U Chicago and Cornell. Welcome to the Business World.
Probably an entirely uncalled for comment on an acceptance thread. That being said, from the very little I know about you I would say that I have a far more pleasant and agreeable attitude that got me a 2340 on the SAT and into Penn CAS(sorry, more interested in the sciences than business), Wash U, Rice and a few more. So I would say I’m doing fairly well.

Also, I hope your eyes are opened up just a little more when you graduate from Wharton and find that you won’t automatically start out making BIG money and still have a long ways to go before working your way to the top. No, I’m sorry to say that you do not automatically metamorphose into Donald Trump.

Even if I am somehow accomplished enough to be “worth your time” for a response, don’t worry about it because I don’t care to hear one. However, I hope you change your outlook on life someday; things will be become much more enjoyable for you.

I hope there are a lot more DangerDaves than honeybunnys at Penn!

QuackerOats,
I replied to your answer to me in regards to Gtown versus Wharton but you never responded back. Are you a Wharton student now?

@honeybunny: first of all, shut the F U C K up. noone likes you, and it’s evident that you’ve been neglected as a child; there’s no need to take that out on people that are fortunate enough to have not met you. you obviously have some psychological illnesses that remain untreated. secondly, the SAT is a weak method of calculating someone’s ability to perform well in a particular career, or as a college student. it guages one’s performance on one saturday morning, guessing ability, and willingness to waste one’s life adapting their mind to understand the way test makers want you to think. 2350 SAT=impressive? sure. but something that would impress me more is a student that can show passion and drive for something in which they succeed, rather than someone who’s wasted a good part of their life studying for one test taken on one saturday morning. And in the business world, tests like the SAT don’t matter at all; rather, one’s ability to interact and communicate effectively with other people prevail–something that you apparently lack. Go jump off a bridge, you conceited prick.

^^ WIN. hahahah

i find this SO ironic. the name “dangerdave” sounds threatening and meanish, but “honeybunny” sounds so innocent and nice =p haha. oh, deceit

btdubs, honeybunny, a 2260 isn’t even that impressive. to say that people who have <2200s aren’t good enough and should never talk to you
well, you need at least a 2700 to do that =P plus, i think most of us are too good to talk to you anyway.

oh, and one more thing. i got a 2190 and i’m in cas. i guess i should just quit school right now and be a store clerk because i’m nice :)

go crystal pineapple. i just read through this entire thread and it’s pretty hilarious. lol, elitism.
