May 2nd at 5pm…just got the email
They just emailed me saying decisions come out on TUESDAY 5PM EST. One week from now. Hoping and praying everything goes well ;_________;
I sent an update on 20th… I hope they looked at it before they made my decision 4 me
@inordie what was the update? I think it’d be wise to call them at least
@PixelTomato I uploaded my update through the portal so I think they must have it with them. I updated a project that I am working on rn. Which is a mix of writing/coding.
Email:

Last sentence giving me bad vibes
@inordie I’m sure as long as it’s not a required supplement, they should look at it!
@dkpark9095 I got the same email too, I’m sure it’s just a formality!
Having a panic attack for like the 15th time about penn its fine (not really)
pls send help
@VaishS remember to breathe! I can completely understand how you’re feeling now (I’ve had several of them myself) if you want to talk, feel free to PM me! You can get through this!!
tbh, I’m happy with vandy, I only applied to UPenn to see what happens anyways
^^ same here, I have Cornell and I’m thrilled, I just want to get this rejection over with so I can commit fully
@esterling what are your stats? I’m sure you have a shot
@esterling how did you get a decision from Cornell already? I thought decisions are out in May?
@PixelTomato nah, some came out as early as first week of April.
@VaishS I’m pretty sure they’re not Penn standards, I got rejected last year freshman admission and I’m expecting the same. HS GPA was a 3.9 (uw); SATs mid 2000s; AP 5s on Lang, Lit, Bio, Calc AB and Human Geo, 4s on Physics 1 and 2. College GPA is 3.87 (4.0 in my major) at UC Davis; I have a job at the vet hospital on campus and a microbio lab. I wrote some strong essays - Penn has both a biophysics major and a Dutch program, both of which I have personal interests/links to and basically can’t be found at any other schools.
To be completely honest, I am pretty proud of my application and I don’t regret sending it. That said, I realize I haven’t soloed in Carnegie Hall and I haven’t cured cancer and that’s fine. I’m glad I applied anyways to know I gave it everything. I got Cornell on a guaranteed transfer offer last year so my application was under slightly different circumstances than my application to Penn.
@PixelTomato I was a guaranteed transfer option and I met all the requirements so my application didn’t even need to go to committee
@inordie Really? That’s interesting, on their website they said that they’d give decisions in May/June.
@esterling congratulations! that’s pretty great, what program did you go through so that you got guaranteed admission? I only heard about the TAG/TAP program for UC’s but never for ivies.
@he1234 This email?

If so, then yes.
Edit: Also, you’ll never really know until you apply. I had a friend who applied for Penn transfer and got accepted with a 3.7 GPA and minimal ECs. Not too sure on his SATs though. I think it really comes down to the essay.
Did you guys get the email from Penn as well?
@PixelTomato thanks! I was accepted by CALS (ag and life sciences) to biological sciences, but as far as I know, each of Cornell’s Colleges gives guaranteed transfer option letters to high school seniors, including CAS
