Most people here seem to be Wharton. Who is appling College?
@VaishS I’m applying to CAS
@VaishS I’m also applying to the college!
@VaishS College for me too, PPE.
I’m applying Econ/Environmental Studies to the College
Econ to CAS!
Health and Society at CAS
Applying to SEAS for either Materials Science or Bioengineering, or some combination of the two.
How many wharton apps do they receive on average? Just wondering the estimated acceptance rate for external transfers? I’m assuming internal transfers have a slightly higher percent rate??
Applying to the college!
hope
@terr24lr yes of course internal transfers have a much higher rate, it is not that difficult to transfer internally if you got a good GPA and demonstrated interest in business. On the other hand the external transfer rate is super super low, and it is usually kids from tippy top schools, and often even other ivies like Dartmouth, Brown, Columbia.
@Penn95 does that apply to the college too?

@VaishS not as much in the college. the college is definitely more accessible for external transfers and the bulk of the transfers get into the college.
@Penn95 What do you mean by internal and external transfers? Do you mean things such as in state and out of state?Is it bad for international students living in the U.S. who are applying to CAS?
Internal transferring is when you transfer between schools within a university. So like from Penn CAS to Wharton
Are any of you able to receive your PennKey Username? I am not. https://challengeresponse.apps.upenn.edu/challengeResponse/jsp/fast.do?fastStart=forgotMyUsername
@115transfer we need the PennID for that which none of us have
@PixelTomato by internal i mean students who are already at Pen but at a different undergraduate school. External I mean students from other colleges.
