I just wanted to know, from a purely academic standpoint, whether my stats are ok to be admitted:
SAT: 2340
SAT subject: Math lv 2: 800, Physics:770
Class Rank:9/100
My class is incredibly competitive as I am an Indian student. So technically obtaining such a rank in India is really really difficult.
My essays are really personal and insightful. My EC’s are pretty cool too. I found a way to improve a new electricity generating device’s efficiency and my research has been published on then university;s website. I am the youngest Indian researcher there. Also, I submitted my research on how the efficiency of Indian power plants could be improved by introducing a " Desuperheater" , to the Indian Minister of Power. I also started my own organization that redesigns government health awareness posters to make them more visually impactful.( The organization managed to double the attendance at state medical camps).
I just wanted to know whether a slightly low class rank would significantly affect my chances of getting in?

Oh and I have also applied to Yale, Cornell, Brown ,GaTech, CMU, Berkeley, Duke and Northwestern!

From what I understood you are an international applicant from India, which means you will be competing against international applicants of the highest caliber with even better test scores and professional accolades under their belts. Still, you seem to be a strong candidate and will surely fare well wherever you do end up getting into. I also urge you to realize the costs of these institutions as international applicants almost never qualify for aid and any UC school will make you look at about $40,000 a year.

Yale: Reach= Rejected
Cornell: Low Reach= Accepted
Brown: Reach= Rejected
GaTech: High Match= Accepted
Berkeley: Low Reach= Accepted
Duke: Reach= Waitlisted
Northwestern: Reach= Rejected
