I know I am far away from college (but not really as you will see), but I am a sophomore and I want to be a neurosurgeon and was thinking about the Rice/ Baylor BS/MD program, the Northwestern BS/MD program, Brown University BS/MD program, and University of Pittsburgh BS/MD Program. I'm not sure whether to keep going to my high school, the Academy of Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Technologies in Edison, NJ, where I'll be taking all honors classes for the rest of my two years b/c its a pre-set curriculum or go to Bard College at Simmon's Rock where I can start pre-medical studies in place of 11th and 12th grade. What will give me the best chance to qualify for any of the programs?

You may get feedback from current students, but definitely contact the director or coordinator of the bs/md program and get their feedback. Those programs are typically for the tippy top students, ie, 75% gpa and standardized test scores. UConn and Drexel have programs as well. Cast a wide net. Many of your schools are super competitive.

Thanks for the suggestions Amazhon. I’ll try that…sorry I tooks so long to reply
