university of pittsburgh civil engineering?

I really want to transfer to PITT ive only heard great things and ive been to the cathedral of learning and pittsburgh and absoluty LOVE IT!! Im currently doing my first semester at community college with not so great results. I have a C in a remedial math course but my other 3 classes all A's. Which is really weird because i always got A's in high school for math but C's in everything else. Anyway, i am following the HACC/PITT transfer outline for engineering students. I will be at HACC fora total of 7 semesters including 2 summers. The reason is because some classes are not offered during the summer! O WELL.. Say i maintain atleast a 3.0 GPA will i be able to transfer with a good chance of acceptance? Im from Russia and actually my extracurricular activites include flying general aviation aircraft. I will complete up to Calc 3, chem 1&2, Physics 1&2, C programming, Linear algebra, and 2 social science/humanities courses. Im also going to complete english comp 1&2. Which is all the requirements/recommendations for prospective engineering students from HACC to PITT. I really want to ensure i get into this school i really dont want to go anywhere else because i love the location and instate tuition. Plus PITT is ranked top 60 engineering so its respectable and ill be able to secure a good job out of college.

i talked to a transfer counselor and he said the classes look good and the average GPA for incoming transfer students is 3.25 but the minimum requirement is 2.8. Ofcourse, im a little weary because who can trust someone who works there ofcourse they will tell you the minimums and try ot lead you on jsut to get your application fees…

bump anyone?
