@CC12 this is the info I found for the dental GAP. Does the letter say the same?

Yep. My Dd used the short answer to talk about those things.
Yes that is correct. Students need to maintain all those requirements to get into dental school. I was wondering about the GAP program requires interview (like GAP program in medicine) or not. According to hailtopitt1787 interview is not required for the GAP in Dental medicine. Also, I am not sure if they need DAT score or not.
@Winky1 … Back at you with ANOTHER question…acceptance letter to engineering school arrived today but with no mention of Honors College or the potential for merit money. Did your daughter’s “Honors” invite come in the same letter as the acceptance? Thanks for all of your help.
@finnb , my daughter’s acceptance letter did say she was eligible for Honors and that her application would be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee, and if she qualified for merit scholarships, she would be notified. But she is in Arts and Sciences, not Engineering. It’s harder to get into the Engineering School. The 2 schools may do things differently. Then a week later, she got a separate Honors College letter. Hope that gives you clarity of some sort.
@sunflower4 yes they said he wouldnt get into CBA with is math score and advised he change to A&S which we did. Got the email thurs for additional sat scores
After a really tough week for my daughter she received a huge boost from Pitt yesterday. Two letters arrived and one was the confirmation of Honors invite and the other was guaranteed admission to graduate school. Now the long wait for merit package…I’m guessing it will be November before she receives anything. I think waiting on this is probably just as stressful as waiting for acceptances. Congrats to those accepted and receiving official letters as well, sending lots of virtual HUGS to those anxiously awaiting either acceptance or merit aid.
I can’t recall…this may have been previously asked. Do applicants who fail to get admitted learn via snail mail or email???
Hi, I received my acceptance letter to the school of nursing in the mail this Thursday (online on Monday), and was wondering how long it usually takes to hear back about GAP or honors college?
My daughter toured twice and still hasn’t received notice of accepted or rejected. She received a post card last week that said sorry you didn’t make it to visit, which really doesn’t apply to her. Sure hope that doesn’t reflect negatively on her.
Hi,
I applied on 9/15 and sent my ACT scores in the same day. I’m wondering how long it takes for the ACT scores to be received, as it still says that my application is “paid” and not “complete” yet. I got the email for the Pitt Portal, but no other emails. Any insight? Thanks!
Could someone please let me know where can I add the common essay to the coalition application? I couldn’t find the place. It is the common college essay I am talking about, not the three Pitt specific questions . Appreciate your help.
My application changed to the accept/decline button on Thursday. Does this mean that I’m in for sure? When will I get my acceptance email and letter?
@winter08 you should get your email acceptance tomorrow and your US email acceptance Wednesday
@hailtopitt1787 , we are trying to submit our application to Pitt through coalition app, but don’t know how or where to add the coalition essay. Could you please guide us how can we do that? This is urgent, please.
Thank you
Hello, @bms2018! I am not aware of a place in the Pitt Coalition app to submit an essay. We recommend you complete our Short Answer Question responses instead: https://oafa.pitt.edu/apply/admissions-process/short-answer-questions/

Thank you hailtopitt1787 for such a rapid response.
@hailtopitt1787 My daughter was accepted. She did not get an Honor’s invite. Does this mean she has no chance at merit scholarships? Thanks
@cagphd, Honors eligibility and merit scholarships are two separate things. You can read more about the merit scholarship review process here: https://oafa.pitt.edu/financialaid/academic-scholarships/
And you can see the guidelines for honors eligibility here: https://oafa.pitt.edu/explore/university-honors-college/

@hailtopitt1787 My son received an acceptance email/video last Monday, 9/18. However, he has yet to receive anything in the mail. (I just checked today’s mail!) It just seems a little odd since most people on here said they received something within a few days of the email. We are in NJ so not too far! I just called the admissions office but the office is closed today so I figured I’d ask you! Any thoughts? Thanks!
