University of Pittsburgh Class of 2022

@zZMilZz I was told yes that you just have to ask them to consider you for it.

My daughter submitted her coalition application on 9/29. Filled up SRAR on 10/03. Today, accept/reject buttons showed up on the portal. Weighted GPA is 4.64 and 1520 SAT. Dietrich school. Eagerly waiting for the mail.

@hailtopitt1787 , when the invitation for GAP medicine will be sent out? Is it 10 days from the acceptance? Thank you.

@bsms2018, The timeline for the medicine GAP is unique. You can find the full information here: https://oafa.pitt.edu/explore/guaranteed-admissions-programs/medicine-gap/

Students who are eligible to apply are notified by early January.

Best,
A Pitt Admissions Staffer

Thank you so much.

I applied 9/11 but only sent my transcripts, etc. on October 2nd. Do you think the time until notification will differ if you apply as a transfer versus applying as a freshman?

@hailtopitt1787 IF you could please advise for the GAP medicine program is there any additional material that should be submitted before the GAP initial discussion

d applied on 9/28, acceptance blue envelope came yesterday.
For those interested she applied to A&S
Stats:
ACT 26, GPA 3.88
5 AP classes
8 Honors classes
5 Varsity sports letters
NHS

Completed all 3 essays.

Good Luck to all. D college search is now complete.

@waitingseemslong Thanks for sharing! Congratulations! My S applied through Coalition on 9/29, but his application was lost and didn’t get to be loaded into Pitt system until 10/6. He is applying as undecided major. Anxious waiting.

His Stats:
wGPA: 4.177
SAT: 1350
Also completed all 3 essays

@hailtopitt1787 Thank u

Applied to Pitt nursing Early August and still haven’t heard back yet, getting little nervous

@XenA12 This is just a pure speculation on my part and I could very well be wrong -

Based on what I’ve seen so far, those who have received admissions all appear to have above-average stats. This leads me to think there is a “threshold” for auto-admission, hence faster turnaround. Those that do not come with high stats will have to wait longer for reviews…

That makes sense
I will say my sat is in the upper 1200s and my gpa is around the 3.7 range

Applied 9/29, Accepted today!!

My DS Applied on 10/1 and he has not received the acceptance email yet. The portal mobile app is showing accept /reject buttons - Does this mean he has been accepted - Please let me know. Thanks.

@XenA12 Did you send in an SAT or ACT score after the submission of your application? It’s possible they’re just waiting on a new score! Best of luck

applied 10/3, accepted a week later! (10/10) I was surprised by the quick response tbh  congrats to everyone else who was accepted

@BS_MD2017 , yes. That means acceptance. Congratulations!!! You should receive the email in a day or two

Where are the buttons shown on the mobile app? If they are together and shown under Admissions on the left, that does not mean anything…

@MomtoAndrew2018 , no. If you click on that link “accept/decline”, it will take you to a new screen. Before acceptance, it will say “you have no pending application at this time.”. After the acceptance, it will show your application details with two buttons accept, decline.
