University of Pittsburgh Class of 2022

@DfwMomof2 I checked multiple times a day, even over the weekends when I knew it wouldn’t change. Agony is a good word to describe the waiting! Good luck to you and your D.

Congrats @greentea3! We were excited with the buttons, then relieved with the email. Then it becomes official with the letter!

@bsms2018 Any response on the email for the medical school GAP?

@carachel2 , no nothing yet. I called admissions, and got only a generic response, saying that I will hear back in two weeks.

@bsms2018 @carachel2 : No news here as well. We have not called yet. Perhaps we should. We got a GAP letter for Engineering although we specifically stated medicine.

My daughter got a video acceptance yesterday. A formal letter will come in the mail shortly. She applied for nursing
so I’m hoping that she was accepted into that program. Anyone have any feedback? Since they gave us a decision in three weeks, I’m assuming that she was accepted into her intended major, or at least I hope so. The video did specify, it just told her that she was accepted. Has anyone here had a similar experience?

Buttons changed today!

@DfwMomof2 when did you submit your application? I’m just trying to figure out how long the turn around is for changes in status.

@blue290 Daughter submitted on 10/13 for Dietrich
Stats: 1500 SAT
3.87 unweighted GPA
3 AP
31 credits from a 4 year university
16 credits from a 2 year community college

Son submitted on 10/10 for Dietrich, got email that application was complete on 10/12.
Buttons appeared yesterday.

What does “buttons appeared/changed” mean?

When he signed in to the mobile portal app, there were buttons that said “accept” and “decline”, that hadn’t been there before.
Other posters have said that when that happened, they got an email a few days after with the acceptance.

Hi! I am wondering how to put in information since my school (Sage Creek High School) is on a trimester system. Each trimester is considered a semester, so the counselors told us to add our classes as semesters in our application. Our AP classes have a third trimester, however so none of those grades are reported… Also I didn’t see an option for AP European History? I added it as AP World History but I am not sure if this is correct. Due to the trimester system I also took different parts of classes in different years. For example I took Bio A in sophomore year and Bio B in junior year. And (last question sorry), but how do I add that I took two versions of a class? I took college prep and AP chem but I don’t see any space to add both.

So sorry this is a lot of questions.

Hi! For questions specific to your individual application and SRAR, I would encourage you to just give our office a call and talk through it: 412-624-7488.

My son submitted his app on 10/7 and heard he was accepted for Nursing on 10/25. We got the video but to be sure I called and asked if it was for his first choice and they said yes unless otherwise stated !

Two days after the buttons appeared, son got the email that he’s accepted!
Submitted on 10/10 for Dietrich, got email that application was complete on 10/12, buttons appeared 10/25, accepted 10/27.

Hi I recently submitted the application and I have received the email to make a Upitt passport account. I was wondering if there was anyway I could check to make sure that I also submitted my answers to the short answers? Thanks

S trying to complete application. Strong candidate for Merit Aid , but really struggling with Essay questions.
Not his strong suit and frustratingly not open to suggestions.
Reading on CC that Merit awards begin very soon.
Is there a deadline for Merit consideration?
Pitt is #1 choice , and really want this completed and sent ASAP !

I think Dec. 1st for merit, but the sooner the better. Good luck!

Help! My D just submitted her Pennsylvania Scholars Application for Pitt (for the Stamps and Nordenberg). After she clicked send, a screen appeared that said “The requested URL was rejected by ASM. Please consult the University of Pittsburgh Helpdesk with your support ID.” But no phone number was given to call. Then she tried to submit it again, and the same thing happened. Any chance that it went through? If not, where should she call about this?

@shark62 on the website that you submitted your application, you should be able to log back in and click on your short answer questions. When you click on them, it should then say they were successfully submitted.
