For those familiar with URI, what is the social culture like? D23 loved the school and it is high on her list but she is now starting to worry about the social culture. Is there much going on on campus on the weekends or is all the socializing going on in Narragansett where you have to “know people”. She doesn’t have an issue with typical college social activities per se but also would like some more chill, hang out options. Or organized activities at the school. At first she thought she would likely rush, but now she’s having second thoughts. . .
In-State student, 4.0 GPA UW and 4.44 weighted. 4 AP classes, rest honors or dual enrollment. Awarded $24k over 4 years. Still waiting to hear from UNH and UNC-CH.
Good luck to everyone.
Has anyone heard about honors? And, does honors come with any $ or special housing, etc? Not finding many details on their site other than early registration perk.
