University of Richmond or Texas Christian University?

I know these two schools are very different but if anyone has experience with either of these schools it would be a lot of help! I’m looking for a school we a perfect balance between social life and academics. One with a great reputation and will prepare for jobs and internships. I am between these two schools and having some trouble deciding. Thanks!

have you been admitted to each? if not, ask us again once the FA packages arrive.

Students who go to A&M have so much more pride for their school. Not to say UT kids don’t, but I’ve never met an A&M kid who didn’t love their school 100%. It all boils down to the program you applied to and if you prefer rural college town vs. big city. College Station is its own little world which is great but Austin is such a cool town. If you went Business, go UT. If you went sciences, go A&M. My opinion. Good luck!

Umm she’s talking about TCU vs Richmond @hopesrovner‌

How’s the financial picture at these schools?

UoR in my opinion is the better school. However, can you afford it? It’s a lot for tuition. Also, what do you want to major in? Where are you from?

@TheAtlantic‌ @southernbelle16‌ University of Richmond will be 10,000 more than TCU. I am from NY and majoring in Biology. I can pay for both but I want to know if it would be worth it. I’m deciding between the two and am having problems with deciding which once is the better option

It depends then on how easily your family can pay that $10K premium each year. If it means more debt, then TCU looks like the better choice. Biology is biology everywhere in the US. As impressed as I am by UofR, I can save that extra 40K for med school or a car. It’s only u/g education; where you go matters so little compared to what you do there.

Can your parents pay the $10,000 premium out of pocket (without loans)? If they can afford it without loans and are willing to do it, then yes, the investment’s worth it.
If it means debt, how much debt are we talking about?
If the $10,000 a year would all be debt… not, it’s not worth it.

These are the two furthest options from each other that I could ever imagine. Hot vs cold climates. Mid Atlantic vs Texas. I am not sure if you are male for female but that will be a big factor…

Go to Richmond if you can afford it without having debt.
