Hey can you please share the email ?
This is the email:
Thank you for reaching out to the University of Rochester today. We make every effort to send out waitlist decisions prior to August 1st, but at this point in the year it is unlikely that you will receive an offer of admission from us. We strongly advise any waitlisted students that have not yet heard back from us to make alternative plans for their enrollment in the fall.
I am confused now ??, this is not what they told me. Are you applying as well for Spring admission
Can you please share the email that you’ve sent them ?
Yes, I also applied to the spring admission. My email is replied by one of the admission counselors, so I guess it is probably correct. Who replied to your email?
This is the email I sent:
I notice that some people on the waitlist already got their decisions. Will there be more decisions coming out or is that it? And, is the university going to offer more 2020 spring admissions to students on the waitlist?
It was Sarah a student employee
@AndyKx congratulations??please what did you do after being waitlisted? Did you send them updates?? And do you know anyone else who has gotten off the wait list for Fall 2019?
Congrats @yanjun did you apply for financial aid or are you a domestic student
Anyone else got accepted off the waitlist recently?
One of my friends got accepted today for spring 2020
@vifishy Hey, is she a domestic or an international student? and do you know which major?
Thanks in advance
She’s an international student. idk about her major
Someone on the wl already received rejection
@vifishy oh really? when was that?
@vifishy Does that mean they will send decisions to all WL applicants this month?
Idk this wait is so frustrating
I only know someone received rejection today
I emailed Rochester Admissions and someone responded on May 13:
“Hello,
We may still have a few openings over the coming weeks, if people who have chosen to enroll decide to withdraw, but this process is often sporadic and unpredictable.
Please let us know if you have any other questions!”
I have sent them an email as well last week, here is the response.
« I am not sure what forum you got that information from. The only office that knows the exact number of released decisions is our office – Undergraduate Admissions. As mentioned before, most waitlisted decisions have not been released yet. A great majority will be sent out in the next 4 weeks. Hope this help. »
You may find below the email that I have sent them:
« I hope this email finds you in a good health and spirit.
I would just like to inform you that the last update that I have sent is not reflecting on my portal.
I have seen in a forum that most waitlist decision has been released and not receiving any update so far means that we won’t receive any.
I am a bit confused again as this statement is different from what you’ve told me in my previous email. Thus, I would like to confirm or reject this information by asking you for more explanations »
