On my MyROC profile, it says my decision type is Regular Decision, yet I applied Early Decision through the common app. I haven’t found any way to change it from MyROC. Is anyone having similar problem?
Im not sure, I think it schould change after you submit commonapp
Hi @Roch2302, i faced the exact same problem. I submitted yesterday and nothing changed. I’ve also submitted my scores and my CSS, and they are left unticked as well. How long do you think the system need to process? Should we email the adcom?
Let’s just wait for them to receive our application. Maybe it will be changed soon after. Either way, I believe that if we applied ED through common app, they’ll know that.
How long does one stay on stage 2 while waiting for ED?
wait till mid december for decision
Hello guys! My name is Jaylynn, but you can call me Jay. I’m actually from Rochester, and am applying to get into the DDE (Dual Degree with Eastman) program. If I get in, I intend to major in Psychology and Vocal Performance! Hopefully we will all end up classmates! What are all of you interested in and what draws you to this school?
I’m interested in Computer Science research. What drew me to UR was the open curriculum and research opportunities. Also, I like UR because of the focus on academics and I’d like a more “nerdy” environment :). Also the school is the perfect sized. Not too small and not too large.
I’m interested in linguistics, classical studies, and music, although I didn’t apply to Eastman. My reasons for liking UR are basically the same as @Roch2302’s - the size and location are great for me, and the opportunities for research seem wonderful. From what I’ve read, students seem to be serious about their studies without being overly competitive or cutthroat. The open curriculum (with the cluster system) is a plus as well.
When I visited campus, I got that cliche “this is where I want to spend the next four years” feeling
Anyone on Stage 3 yet?
What is Stage 3? I believe it will not change from Stage 2 until the decisions are out
as far as I know, Stage 2 is first reader, stage 3 is second reader, stage 4 is the committee reading (if necessary, I believe) and stage 5 is the decision.
My first reader hasn’t yet finished, no. I can totally relate to you two in terms of interest! I want somewhere where I can have fun, but at the end of the day, I’m going to college to learn, not to party. In terms of the open curriculum, I’ve always been a workaholic who loves to do a bunch of things and I feel like Rochester is the perfect place to do that!
Is the stage visible on their portal?
Yes, you can check what stage you’re on or items are in as well as submit supplemental information through it.
Yes, it shows which step you’re on on the MyROC site
Good to know for when D applies RD.
Anyone on stage 3?
HI All! My first post on this website! My daughter applied ED to U of R. She loves it and considers it her dream school. She received her first response from a school yesterday, an acceptance to SUNY Oswego which is one of her safeties, but a lovely school nonetheless. I am getting anxious waiting on U of R and hope my daughter’s dream comes true. It’s hard waiting, isn’t it?! Good luck to all!!! It’s an awesome school!
Made it to step 3! Yay!
