@RedYellowBlue 50K difference sounds more like a mistake than anything else unless there was something “different” in your family finances (business/investment/non-custodial parent making a bit, etc).

Did you check with them to make sure they had all your paperwork (CSS, etc)? Sometimes things get misplaced or mistyped.

@Creekland I didn’t challenge it. I think the CSS profile dinged me a bit due to potential retirement income and investments. It’s no biggie though because in the end, my daughter received more merit aid at another university which really turned out to be her first choice. Good luck to everyone in the process.

My daughter got her financial aid statement. It said we were not eligible for aid. It showed the cost of attending as being $20,000 more than our expected contribution. There was no mention of awards. Does that mean we are expected to come up with the entire cost?

I mean $20,000 per year ($80,000 over four years).

@friskypalette, I don’t know how to interpret that statement. I’d suggest calling them for an explanation.

Do you get accepted to your major when you received admission? I applied for CS but did not see any mention of my major in my admission decision. Please help!

@Zasdil11 I believe that you make a decision regarding your major in August

Hey guys! I was just thinking how good is Rochester’s business. Is Babson better than Rochester’s business?

@Zasdil11 You don’t get accepted into a specific major at Rochester. See their website for info. (In fact, for any college, their website, not CC, is the best source for this kind of information.) http:// www.rochester.edu/ college/sophomores/declare/
