University of Rochester vs. Santa Clara University

Hellooooooo!

I’ve received most of my college decisions and can’t decide!
These are my top 2 choices as of now and have visited both. URochester has an AWESOME academic program while I love SCU’s location and diversity. Any input about either college would be appreciated!
Thanks!!!

URochester offers a classically arranged campus in an eastern-style environment and tends to be diverse due to its relatively high percentage (18%) of international students. Academically, UR would be a nationally competitive choice (http://www.businessinsider.com/the-610-smartest-colleges-in-america-2015-9).

Congratulations and good luck with your decision!

What major?

Neuroscience for SCU
Brain and Cognitive Science for URochester

Both are great.
The biggest difference would be that SCU has a very prescribed general ed sequence, while U Rochester has an open curriculum, meaning that you could take classes outside of your specific major.

Does one school have more depth in your area of interest? Where do you want to end up after your Bachelors. Will one give you an advantage in achieving that goal?

URochester has a lot more opportunities such as internships and research. SCU is starting their Neuroscience program this year, but are situated in the middle of Silicon Valley so internships may be more useful there. I dunno.

I want to eventually end up and settle in California in the area where SCU is. I plan to do some graduate school after bachelors, wether it be med school or something else.

Both have their advantages. That’s the problem
