Does anybody know how the University of Rochester calculates high school GPA?
Generally speaking, admissions review your transcript. From just looking your transcript & school report, they can figure out the rigor of curricula, your grades, and whether you can handle that school. Schools don’t always recalculate GPA; they have so many applications! That said, a careful review of your transcript, can reveal what they are looking for under the pressure of time. I would say focus on doing well on your classes. Nobody, but admissions, know the particular method used to recalculate GPA, but they can easily rate your academic rigor from your AP courses, and how well you do on them.
