Hi,
I was just wondering if colleges weight your GPA for you, because my school doesn’t even if you have all AP classes and stuff like that.
Thanks
Each college will weight your GPA based on their own formula.
thank you!
Not all schools explicitly recalculate GPAs. The University of Michigan used to be an example. (This article is from 2009 and they have since gone back to recalculating.) I don’t know where to find more general information about which schools do and don’t recalculate.
More importantly, your academic performance will be evaluated fairly whether or not the school recalculates. They’ll look at the classes and letter grades on your transcript, as well as the school report from your guidance counselor. They won’t look at the GPA number without considering how it was calculated.
