hey do u guys know anything about this school... good , bad , ok..? I recently got a pamphlet from there and they have this program with 2 years in spain and 2 years in the us... does anyone know anything about that?

I don't really know anything about the school but I am currently doing my gap year in France and met two kids from SLU doing a year abroad at a business school here. They're both majoring in intl. business I believe.

We just got back from a visit, very pretty campus, some nice programs, ify area around campus, need to be careful, but the campus itself is very safe. They have some nice programs, give good fin aid and merit. My D visited 4 classes and was disappointed with 3 of them, felt students were not prepared or actively involved in discussion. They have a strict alcohol policy. It is a city schol but there is a lot to do around there. Let me know if you have specific questions.

I actually applied and got accepted to the campus in Spain, but I did so telling myself I would only go if I got a full ride. Apparently they don't give out merit aid for the Madrid campus, so it turned out to cost the same as my other schools, so I decided to go to Georgetown SFS.

The school is always referred to as Saint Louis University (never University of St. Louis). One important characteristic of the school is that it is Catholic and run by Jesuit priests. Generally considered to be fairly average academically and is nowhere near as rigorous as Washington University which is a few miles to the west. Attended by many graduates of St. Louis Catholic high schools. Near the Fox Theatre, Powell Symphony Hall and a few restaurants and bars. Downtown is easily accessible by bus or light rail.

i applied and was accepted. i visited over spring break. i just had a campus tour and it was really nice. i also talked with a junior from the business school who seems really happy there. they gave me a ton of money and they also have a program where they gaurantee you admission to their law school after graduation if you fulfill certain requirements. They also have an honors program that you could probably get into.

I had my choices narrowed down to SLU and WashU, but finally chose WashU. I think SLU is still an awesome school though.

Hoping I made the right choice

aero56, I liked Wash U over SLU as well, although both are good choices. Best of luck to you!!

the academics are not as strong as WashU or some of the more competitive schools in the midwest (if you consider St. Louis to be in the midwest), and it is relatively easy to get in, but they offer good aid and have good programs from what I hear. I have a good friend that attends SLU currently. He loves it. Jesuit school i believe.
