If your portal says committee review it means they have looked at your application. It does not guarantee acceptance it just means they’ve seen it.
Has anybody been accepted or denied since then end of February? I thought some more acceptances would come through last week possibly but this thread has been awfully quiet.
@Mikalakai I don’t think so - the class of 2021 Facebook group has also been quiet. It seems like a handful of people were admitted in the second week of February and then nothing since then. At least we haven’t been denied yet!
People have gotten accepted the past couple days @Mikalakai @catbird1
@catbird1 are you from California? I’m really sorry to hear about sdsu. I was really hoping to hear back from usd before their offices closed for the spring break. I’m usually a patient person but this wait is really killing me especially since I live across the country and I am only planning on flying out if accepted.
@collegegoer101 I live in WA, but grew up in SoCal! My sister’s family lives in the SD area, so I really want to go to college somewhere nearby.
I feel ya on the spring break wait!! USD is the last school I’m waiting to hear from and it’s my first choice…go figure. I visited in November and immediately fell in love. SDSU only accepted about 10% this year…I was disappointed but not surprised.
Where else did you apply?
the longer they take, the less we care about the school. so many other acceptances, scholarships…
We heard back in February, I was accepted and also just heard back on Honor’s program, I was also accepted. If you haven’t heard back maybe it’s because the scholarship recipients were notified. We already accepted, put down payment and are set up to go to a 2 day Honor’s Program. @sandiegan
@sandiegan and @Roroperez On last year’s thread, people were still getting admitted with scholarships in early March! USD is on spring break this week so that may be part of the delay.
applied mid november.
…don’t think its meant to be at this point. got into sdsu, cal polySLO, waiting on UC’s
several out of state large private & public scholarships…USD was a financial long shot, but the fact that not even admitted yet…just annoying at this stage.
Anybody else still waiting to hear? Is scholarship money less likely the later you hear back?
does anyone know what types of transportation they have there? i live pretty far away, and if i could avoid driving all the way there, that would definitely be my preference!
@minimouse I lived in SoCal for most of my life. If you can make the drive, I would recommend it. It’s not a big deal to get off campus to downtown SD, but if you want to go any farther, it’s tough without a car.
I’m looking at the same problem - if I drove, it would be about 1200 miles. Still, if I don’t drive, I’ll sell my car and buy something else after I move.
Did anyone happen to notice how long their application was in “committee review” for until they got a decision? My application JUST went from complete and ready for review to committee review and I’m super nervous!!!
Hey! So my portal has a On-Campus housing requirement tab when i click Admissions, but it is blank, and I’m finally able to see a list of school events. What does this mean?
@myreeeeen Are you seeing general school events, or admitted student events? I haven’t been admitted yet, but I can see general USD events under the “Torero Hub” tab.
@catbird1 just general. So i’m not getting too ahead of myself lmaoo.
Does anyone know if people have gotten rejected yet? Nervous because I still haven’t gotten a decision. Application status still says “Complete- Ready for review”
Per Naviance, 5 out of 4 students from my daughter’s high school have been accepted. Evidently, my daughter is the #5 & “is still in review”.
My portal still says Complete- Ready for Review. I really want to go here its my number 1. Still hopeful
