Whoa kyledad, sorry to hear about your son, but as a mother of another white male who was also rejected… I don’t think it’s helpful to ASSume that it’s because he is a white male. My son is in state and has lots of white male friends who made it in with same stats. Who knows what makes the difference?
We are oos just saved 200k by getting rejected. UTD full AES here we go… all for the best
@kyledad @georgiaflorida good one. white and asians are minority in the real world not in academic. the worse group is white/asian mix – they are the true “superior.”

@kyledad I hope you applied to Rice, your son looks like multi-talented much appreciated by selective institutes. UT goes by class rank as their primary decision factor (from colegedata)
do we know why many OOS with great stats got rejected? that’s what happened to me too
